Our testing methodology

Last updated:
Every service reviewed on We Actually Tested is purchased with our own funds, used in real conditions for 30 to 60 days, and scored on measurable criteria. Rankings are re-verified at least every two months.

The protocol, step by step

  1. Anonymous purchase — we sign up like any customer, paying in crypto, without disclosing we are reviewers.
  2. Setup and onboarding — we time everything: activation delay, payment confirmation speed, clarity of the process.
  3. Measurement — depending on the category: uptime monitoring every 60 seconds, delivery timing, reception-rate sampling, spread calculation on real trades, or app-compatibility suites.
  4. Support testing — at least 3 tickets per service at varying hours; response time and answer quality are scored.
  5. Claims verification — every marketing claim is checked against reality.

Scores and rankings are re-verified at least every two months. If a service degrades between revisions, its review is corrected as soon as we confirm the change.
